The Plant Parade Project for March

March 2013 Plant Parade project……The theme for this month is;
Yellow, Gold and Orange flowers

Welcome to March edition of the Floral/Botanical project. This month's theme is; yellow, gold or orange flowers.

Yellow is such a bright, cheerful and vibrant colour. The range of different species of yellow flowers is huge and goes from light lemon-yellow, through to a deep gold and then into orange.
The first five photos are my own and you are welcome to use them, and others are from the RIL. I've included the photographers name with their photo where applicable.
Crop, enlarge, miniaturize, simplify, exaggerate ... whatever you wish, but make your main focus is, yellow, gold or orange flowers.

There are few 'rules' - the main one being we do not reveal any work until 25th of the month.
Any medium.
Any size.

Hope you and new comers could join us in this month’s project and have time to have some fun and enjoy the experience of this month's Plant Parade. You can ask questions or comment on anything to do with this month's project but remember not to post your paintings until the 25th.
So start early but post it/them on the 25th of March.
ENJOY.

A gift of flowers

I hope you enjoy the selection of flowers and find something amongst them you would like to paint.

Great idea for March. I'm in. It's okay to use my own reference photo isn't it?

Thanks Vivien! Will check the gallery now. It's a sunflower from a PMP photo. I saw it yesterday and fell in love with it and then remembered it fit this challenge

Re: The Plant Parade Project for March

Thanks Viv - this will get me away from pink!!!!

I have glorious orange lilies on my patio in summer - but I'm NOT painting lilies again for a while (Sorry Tatiana ).
I do have yellow primulas blooming though - my daffs are still not in bud even!

Re: The Plant Parade Project for March

Maureen - Thank you and I'm glad you like the theme, especially the orange colours. I'd checked back through the old PP's and I couldnt see "orange" flowers anywhere so thought I'd try it to see if members liked the idea.

Michelle/Mirizar - I've PM'd you.
