A small village on the Faroes

This days effort, oil on streched canvas, 65 x 90 cm, painted with knife.
Unfortunly, my french easel broke as you see on the photo. But I was lucky to have some stoff in my car, so I could fix it.

And here is the set up

And here is my broken easel

I am impressed with your paintings. I also love the architecture of Norwegian houses. You are expert at depicting the rocky landscape.

It's not Norway. Faroes belong to Denmark. I would like to paint there one day, tho. Yes, the houses are cute and the landscape curious. Lovely painting!

Yes, I understand that this is not Norway. The houses are very much like those in Bronnoysund Norway where my family came from. So to me they are much like Norwegian houses.

And I still love the stark landscape and the houses as they have been painted.

Interesting with the Norwegian houses. These houses were imported from Norway as a kind of standard houses in the 30 - 40

Pskardenni ... I visited your website and I am absolutely over the moon about your works! This is the great thing about Wetcanvas, excellent artists post their paintings and folks like me discover them.

Where are your paintings displayed and are they for sale?

I have a friend in Norway that takes wonderful pictures from around the area my where my folks immigrated. I use these photos as references for my artwork made for my own enjoyment. The boathouses and houses there are very similar. I am now enthused to get back to work and do some more from these references. Something about this landscape is primal to my nature.
