Snow day

Hi everyone, here's a few shots from my walk this morning. Nothing wonderful, all with my point and shoot as my better camera was without charge . So I couldn't see the framing at all.

On the rail trail.

Snow outlining the trees

The next one was shot from the top of the trail into the woods that is 1/2 a block from my house. I looked down longingly, but decided it was too slippery without snowshoes or other help. Skiiers had been down and up. It is quite a steep hill although it doesn't look it here.

And a couple from the park, the little skating rink, and the view back to my building, across the rail trail. That black spot on the rink is a puck waiting for the hockey players to come back! The city must have cleared the snow and left it for them.

That bench was placed as a memorial to a park frequenter, it sits beside the free dog run.

I have some other reference shots of trees with snow on them, I will try to get them into the RIL.

Re: Snow day

BEAUTIFUL photos Lynn, thank you for taking the time to share them. I have to admit the snow is beautiful on the trees and with the sun shining on it.

Re: Snow day

Thanks, Darla!

I forgot one, I get fun out of listening to the joyful voices from the toboggan hill that you can see from our parking lot. I expect it gives similar pleasure to the residents of the senior's home just on the left.

Lovely scenes, Lynn. The snow is so beautiful when it is fresh and pristine like that.
