Hi all, I have pretty much caught up on my commission work so thought I would do something for me. I am trying a new paper that I recieve from a friend so it is a trial and error kind of thing. The paper is Stonehenge which I have never used and I am not sure if I used the right side or not. I think I am using the rougher side and from my readings, I should be using the other side but oh well....... Anyway, I am finding the paper very similar to the Illustration board that I did the horse on earlier. I am able to get a few layers on with enough to blend. It feels a bit dryer? than my usual Bateman paper but I don't mind it so far.
Anyway, this is a picture from a calendar of a beautiful little spaniel that I had been saving for a while. Lots of long hair, (take note Karen...

11x14 on Stonehenge paper with Prismacolor pencils. I used the gel pen for the little mouth whiskers but will tone them down later. I can post the colors I used if anyone is interested.
Really nice, can't wait to see the finish
