A tribute to my brother Ton

It is always hard to lose someone, but this will certainly keep him alive in your eyes and heart. He looks like a good man with inner beauty. Just beautiful work. The skin tones are great. Some really good sharing points here as well.

A big thank you to everybody for looking and especially for the nice comments and encouraging words of sympathy. This has been a work of love and it has given me solace to be able to work on it and to try to do the best I possibly could. You all helped me a lot.

My SIL in Holland has only been able to see the progress on Skype but she is thrilled to know that I have been able to capture the essence of my brother's spirit in this portrait. This portrait will eventually end up on her livingroom wall, once I get it to her.

I have scanned the portrait and it is so big that it barely fits the scanner, so to give you an idea of the final version, I also tried to take a photograph and I will attempt to post them here.

I am so sorry for your loss of your brother. You did a terrific job on his portrait. You captured his likeness and expression perfectly. I like that you gave him a blue shirt because it really makes those amazing blue eyes pop.
