Dutch gable houses

The winter sky is so gloomy today so I thought some bright colors might cheer me up.

Very nice. Love the colours. What paper and pencils did you use.

Re: Dutch gable houses

Thank you for your encouragement. I was a bit reluctant to post this pic because it's very child-like compared to other beautiful paintings here. But then I think it's about making me happy and making progress so here it is

To pingpongfan: I used Caran D'ache Supracolor Soft on Moleskine's small notebook for watercolor. It's easier for me to do something quick while my 18 months old boy nap

Re: Dutch gable houses

I am not sure what the style is your called it "child like" I am not sure that is what I would describe it, but it is a cheerful piece. I love the composition and the colors. It just makes me smile to look at it. I would hang it among my personal art for sure! Nice job!!

Re: Dutch gable houses

Thank you fall or taking the time to leave comments. I'll keep sharpening my pencils.

To KarenESP: Stained glass windows are what exactly drawed me to painting with colored pencils in the first place. I'm really glad that someone noted it!
