The Plant Parade Project for February 2013

Hello to everybody!

My name is Tatiana and I'm starting brand-new plant-parade thread for February 2013. Now You stuck with me and my floral selection for whole month.
This time we all will paint LILIES!

Let me remind you some rules:

1) Any artist may participate, any medium, any approach.. It is all totally up to Your personal creativity.

2) You have to stay with my selection of the FLOWER. You do NOT have to stay with my section of pictures. use those only if it is something You want to use. otherwise You are welcome to look for inspiration at WC image library.

Here is a link to see library selection:
http://www.wetcanvas.com/RefLib/showgallery.php?cat=556

3) We are NOT to post any images here till the end of month. We all may start posting starting from February 25.

If You did more then one painting, You are welcome to post all You painted. Please tell us few words about You inspiration, medium of choice etc.

Here is my personal selection of images to share with you... they all were taking during "lilitopia" show at Longwood gardens, PA. Hope You like those...

Wonderful and glorious lilies! Should be another fantastic garden, can't wait to see all the different beauties that flow from the talented PP artists. I am excited to make a choice and get going, too. Thanks Tatiana!

Thank You, for the compliment, Maureen!
We are lucky to be located withing reasonable driving distance form one of the best Botanical Garden in United States.
But for this particular show all flowers had to be brought by Air from Europe.. It was amazing celebration of Lilies!
I'm going to re-new my pass again for this year and make time to go there during different seasons for more photos. As for now... next trip will be to see annual Orchid Extravaganza. This is a winter show and it always is so beautiful!

Re: The Plant Parade Project for February 2013

These lilies are so beautiful! I'd very much like to participate in the challenge. Next week I'm off to hospital to get my appendix taken out, and I hope that I'll be able to do a bit of digital painting when I will have left the hospital next weekend.

Ulla, our prayers will be with you during your surgery and recovery!! Yes, do some digi painting. . .what a good idea!! Looking forward to seeing your work!!

Tatiana, what is the name of the Botanical Gardens around you? I would like to look it up on the computer, if they have a website.

Re: The Plant Parade Project for February 2013

Ulla, wish everything will go smooth with Your hospital stay. Painting is great for recovery, hopefully You will be able to participate.

Katherine, those are Longwood Gardens. They have beautiful web site, I'm not sure if we allowed to post links to outside sites... otherwise I would post it. But You sure can Google it.

I'm trying to make it traditional - annual trip with my husband to see the Orchid show. Something nice to do for our Wedding Anniversary, much better then just go out and eat things...
