Wow! So much going on already for February. I just cruised through for a look since I haven't been on wet canvas in a while. Lots of great portraits. Great work everyone!

Re: What's On Your Easel?....February 2013
wow, such an abundance of amazing work here, really inspiring, such amazing portraits. I just started my first steps into some representational work, focussing on landscapes first, still lots to learn about achieving good detail in the foreground, i never achieve that in a satisfactory manner, and painting consistent dutch skies.
Oil on panel, 24x32cm, from a ref photo of our recent trip to one of the small islands of the coast of Netherlands

WOYE is busy this month! Lots of nice portraits and figures.
Larubia, once again, these pieces you are doing from Australia are terrific!
Jsprakel, you are transitioning well, it just takes some practice.

Ann Marie, your painting is wonderful! Your style and talent shine through everything you do, and bring them to life!
What she said, Michael! Those tree shadows are nice.

Re: What's On Your Easel?....February 2013
I am snowed in so I painted some stuff around the house. Today I baked cookies so maybe I will paint the cookies tomorrow!
I am trying very hard to stick with painting from life and not to paint from photos for awhile... well at least a month! It is hard in the winter when you can't get outside and paint (where I live).
