Re: Seaside
Hi Meggs, always like your paintings but as others have said this one needs something. It's a lovely painting and perhaps adding some birds might help.

Meggs
on the left side...to sail boats in the distance......on the middle left, two sailboats closer and larger, one tacting ahead but behind the larger boat.....and on the right side one boat mid and two very distant.....
forget the birds with the boats.....you have a regatta going and just watch the customers eat it right up...."Early Morning Regatta"!

Re: Seaside
Perhaps a nude woman sunning on the deck of one of Blue's sailboats. I'm just trying to help.

Re: Seaside
Beautiful colors, and I so agree with those who have admired your foreground grasses.

Re: Seaside
Raymo......I agree with your placement of the nudie on the sailboat but how about we do one better......in the foreground grasses, up close so we don't have to squint to see her.... maybe Meggs will paint herself in......

Re: Seaside
Thanks Everyone for your comments... For those two Drongo's, Blue and Raymo.... "Sit on it and Rotate "
Blue the only "Tacking" I know is with a needle and thread, and where the hell you think Im going to fit a Regatta on a 30x20 surface !!!! However I like your suggestion and shall follow thru...I shall repost when completed for your critique LOL
Raymo...... "Bite Me".... I do have a nude painting of me, but dont think WC would appreciate the post.....

Re: Seaside
Liking the boats!
Loving the entertainment!
It does look good, I stay away from seascapes, also, I can appreciate your view on them being "boring".
There should be a male nude sunbather....
slightly hidden behind that grass- only slightly...

Re: Seaside
Wow! When I saw your first version, I immediately thought: not boring at all!
But... the 2nd one is such a difference: I love it!
