Memorial park P/A Jacksonville FL.

Everyone in northeast Florida knows where this is. 11x14 took about 3 hours.

Absolutely beautiful work on the statue and the 'right at dusk' light!
Love the spanish moss on the tree, too.

Hi, Shubert!

Nice painting of Memorial Park. I know the spot well. Painted it a few times myself. That statue is such a great thing to paint.

Really nice color and you've captured the park and the statue perfectly. Nice job!!

Randy

Hey Randy I met you at the arbouretum several weeks ago. You were working on a small painting, my wife, son and I were walking our dogs. Tom Daniels and I have painted at Memorial park three times in the last week. We're going to pick a location every week and go out. Hopefully the group will grow, as well as our plein air skills. I'll be at Brush with nature on the first day if the event, I'll look for you.

Shubert,

I remember the occasion. I'm sorry I didn't put it together when I met you that you posted on Wet Canvas. Or you told me and I forgot, which is perfectly plausible with all that's going on in my brain lately. I look forward to seeing you at the paint out. You should send me your contact info through a PM. There is a group of us that meets every few weeks at various spots to paint. Very informal, and I usually send an email out seeing who is interested and we pick a location and go from there. We've had as many as ten of us painting at one time. Most often there's usually about four or five of us.

It's very laid back and fun. You should join us.

Randy
