When Time Falls Apart
10X10" on canvas skinned board
This pretty much described what was happening in life at that time. I felt it appropriate and still do to some degree.

Old Tractor on a Pennsylvania Farm
11" x 14" Acrylic on Canvas
Original Thread: http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/show....php?t=1080562
Looking back, I now realize how many I started and how few I completed. Though there are things I would change, I do believe this was the best I completed in 2012. Therefore I resolve to paint more this coming year and to finish what I start.

"Cutter"
8 X 10 Acrylic on canvas
I only started painting in 2012 and this was the first painting I was brave enough to post. It is my favourite work so far.

Re: Pick your best from 2012
This was a tough decision to make, but I chose "Junior". I painted 2 memorial portraits this year, both of 4 legged friends what I loved and lost. And both portraits are close to my heart. So yes, it was a hard choice. But as Junior was my loyal companion and best friend for nearly 10 years, my heart made the call.

This one came out so much better than I'd hoped - my first bird, my first anything black. And my sister loved it. Although it should be noted that an ornithologist in the A&W forum pointed out that it's not a raven, it's a crow (hey, I just went by what the photographer called the reference pic!)

This was the painting which, perhaps, gave me the most pleasure!

Re: Pick your best from 2012
Here's one of a few I liked.
I was cleaning up my painting area and took a little piece of sponge and created this picture from start to finish with it except for the fencing.
I guess if you want to paint bad enough you can use almost anything to paint a picture.
