Lion Completed
Here is the Lion I did from the picture in the reference Library. Some where back in these posts is where I asked for a little help on the far eye, but could not find it now. Its Been almost 2 months, far too many posts since then. There is a little glare on the white, it was still wet when I took the photo. So its not as stark white as it appears.

This is the pose that absolutely sums up what a Lion is about (or rather what we think they are about - in reality they seem to be a bit slobbish and largely steal and bully the females) - I remember the thread about thefar eye and think that what ever has been done has done the trick - very nice piece of work

This lion is wonderful. His fur works and the eyes are right. Thanks for the eye closeup. He is so sure of himself and his surroundings. It is very nicely done.
Looking forward to the next one.

He looks positively huggable !! (If he weren't gonna bite my head off )
You really did manage to get that regal look and you've rendered his fur beautifully !!

Gorgeous painting! The far eye works out well for not being able to see much of it. Doesn't look at all awkward or anything. Great job on the fur!

Nice work.....
the closeup of the eye was reason enough for checking the thread out!
Your lighting and values suggests an overcast sky lighting, which makes it more difficult to tweak 2 dimensionally the range of depth possible in the illusion of form and space.
keep up the great effort!!!!
