WDE Aug. 17 - It's a Boy, a Dog and a Cat this weekend
Hi everybody! Thanks for hosting, Susan!
Saturday morning before work, I painted the cute little boy. It's 2" x 7" - watercolor and ink. It took 1 hour.
Then this morning before DH got up, I painted the dog. I love that pup's face! First, I used some Inktense on it... (5" x 7" by the way)
But... I was using that cheap paper that doesn't like me blending on the paper. grrr. Here is the 2 hour shot...
Then another hour....
I was afraid to ink it, but I think it needs it, so I probably will get the pens out.
Then, I spent 1.5 hours on the cat. This was fun! It's 4" x 6" watercolor & Prismacolor pen. I liked it with all that white for a change.
Thanks for looking.

Wow! You've been productive, Beth! YEs, I agree with Angie - all three are great and each has a special quality to it. The cat just has that look that grabs one's attention immediately. He's full of character and you made him look like a tiger kitten. Bravo!
ps: the colored patterns behind the Lab is mindblowing! Amazing talent there!

I love them all. I hear you about intense and the cheap paper I was messing with it this weekend and it likes good paper so that makes yours more amazing. very well done. I too like the white on the kitty one and think the stars add sparkle

Love the boy and the fat cat. Yes the doggie needs some ink. Great colours and shapes in the bg of the doggie piece.

Love that happy cat. They are all great - but esp. love the way the ear and paws sit over the edge of the frame.

Beth. Your work always brings me such joy. So much more when it is personal. Love all three of these. Pumpkin the cat is so bright and lively. My Mom will get a kick out of it!
Thanks for joining in, it wouldn't be a WDE without you.

The look on that cat's face reminds me of the cat in Alice in Wonderland - luv it! As for the other two - the little boy is adorable and love the crop -also the dog has such an endearing look on his face and the background is fantastic!

Watched a different version of Alice in Wonderland this weekend, and the cat does look like the Cheshire Cat! His expression reminds me of Garfield, the pizza loving cat. Nice clear image of the little boy and the dog and design is wonderful.
