First of all this is still a work in progress, almost finished but I feel the need to keep tweaking it as I am not getting the results that I like.
I took the plunge and bought some Mi-Teintes pastel paper. It is totally different than what I am used to and I am not entirely pleased with it, although it is not that bad.... I find I can't get the details that I am used to getting because the tooth fills up faster than I am used to and I can't get as many layers and of course with the colored paper the whites are not as white as I would like. But I have it and will keep practicing with it.
I thought that we could all learn a lesson from this little kitten as he studies a single blade of grass with such interest. Life is full of simple pleasures. He is an 8 week old male kitten belonging to Rala, whom also owns the bernese mountain dog that I just did.
Thanks Rala1996 for allowing me to use your photo.

9x12 in. pale orange paper, done with Prismacolor pencils and white acrylic for the whiskers. I used a blender marker to smooth the background and it saved me a lot of time.
Any C&C would be appreciated.
