Thought I'd share this 12x16 on stretched cannabis... little joke there.

I wanted to capture the ultra warm colors in the shadows of the tree. The Ponderosa Pine glows at sunset. What do you think artist friends? Feedback welcome...

They say you can talk to trees and this one is full of conversation. It's dramatic and yet those shadows are warm making it friendly despite the spiky needles.

I like the way you blocked some of those branch outlines to give them that rounded feel. Eye-catching picture.
Please may I ask what is your sky blue?

I like this! I particularly am drawn to the bark and the shadows cast on it from the pine needles/leaves. I would only say that you may vary the pine needles colors throughout the painting to give a bit more interest. Even if you didn't, it still is a great painting. Well done!

It is wonderful. I have a picture of a tree that was burned in a fire that has the light shining on the one side and chard side in contrast. Your painting gives me the idea of how to use color and shading.
My dream is to capture the life in the forest fire and place them in a museum that was lost in the fire. I believe there is beauty after a fire, because there is still life and hope of life returning.
