DS's new $400 bike doesn't have one either! I paid them to put one on though so it doesn't get laid down in the lawn or keep falling over and banging the gears. The stand keeps falling off ! LOL!

LOL Seems strange they don't put them on all bikes and it is even stranger that if you put one on, after having bought the bike, that they don't work. I like having one, as like you, I don't want the gears all messed up, or the paint either, for that matter.
