I've posted a few WIP's on this forum, and I promised to post some of my past work. I decided to start with the most recent work since the WIP's (The Kiss Goodbye, and Bedtime) This piece is called heART. It's 7"x10", one of my smaller pieces. My wife is a nurse, and the hospital she works at was having an art show/competition to benefit the American Heart Association. The theme of the show was "what heart means to you". I immediately thought of Leonardo's sketch of a heart, then the man in the circle of health, and the self portrait. I downloaded some images of these pieces, printed them off on photo paper, laid them on our antique wooden table along with the pencils I used to draw this piece with, and a kneaded eraser, and the white eraser my bulldog puppy chewed on. Then I drew it all out on paper, took me a little over 40 hours to finish. I won first place with this piece, so happy. It's one of my favorites because I'm such a fan of Leonardo. I hope you enjoy...
