Re: Quick Dry Cafe August 2012

Hi Everyone,

Do hope we get stickied or we'll be on the second page in a heart beat..haha

Quiet on here today. You gals with the German goodies yum, yum.

Hey there Raymo my man ah he's just foolin' ya he's waitin' for a bunny in all that clover..haha Give the little man a scratch for me or a belly rub, no wait mine bite me when I do that..haha

I got out of the bed this morning walked into my studio and oh my gosh...
all my bins that hold my paints and some drawers with pencils etc. were on the floor. I had them atop a taboret table (too lazy to get up and select paint..haha) and apparently one or more of my cat monsters was bored, they knocked them off and everything in them was everywhere. I was nice tho, waited til they were eating then threw their little ars' out the door, I was miffed. And no I haven't let them back in yet...

Howard you must be very busy getting ready to leave, I hope you have a safe trip and all goes well will be sending good thoughts for your journey.

Hi Chammi sweetie, Hi Shirl, Maureen, Carol, Sue, Spencer, Robert, Ruthie
Ulla, Patti, Mary, Kathie, all the cafe gang. Well looks like a storm is coming our way so guess I will shut down and see how long the satellite works...
oh my goodness before I forget it's 6:13pm Nite Nite Raymo my man...

See ya later,
Hugs all round,
Elaine

Re: Quick Dry Cafe August 2012

It's quiet, cause it won't let me post....lol....maybe this time....tho' I am calmer now.

I TRIED to say that I couldn't go and pick up any goodies at the store, 'cause when I went to get in my car, there was a big red puddle of transmission fluid on the ground...and I do mean big....sigh. I don't want to be carless again!! I don't, I don't...and the guy said he'd come see, and he didn't...and all that after my feeliings got hurt....lolol not fair (am I doing a pretty good imitation of a two yr old temper tantrum?? lol that is how I feel)

Oh Elaine, I'd be soooo upset....not sure what I'd do. {{{hugs}}}

Re: Quick Dry Cafe August 2012

Another crazy day. I have another couple hours to go. In the middle of laundry, loading pet supplies. Had to change a tire today, always fun. it was showing signs of cracking. That took up more time than I thought. The tire stores don't have it in stock, fortunately I have 2 new unmounted tires in the back of the truck.

Hi Ya!

Happy Birthday Carol! Hope you had a grand day!
Good for you on the weight Howard! But sorry about the tire. When do you leave for your adventures?
Uffda, Susan, hope the car issues are solved soon. Not fun to be without wheels!
Elaine, I can imagine the mess the kitty made! I know a lot of cleanup is due, but think it's kinda funny too. Sorry!
Hurry up Merwyn, there is a nice fat jack rabbit hopping around my yard. Lots of fun that would be!
Chammi sounds yummy! Helping myself!
Cool here today after the 98 yesterday. Calm and overcast and a very nice deck evening. Going to head in soon tho and tackle a painting project. Have plans to get lots done tomorrow---hahaha we'll see.......

Re: Quick Dry Cafe August 2012

thanks guys. I just came in to tidy up, stick stuff, unstick other stuff, close stuff etc and I find the leftovers of a party. You guys just party hearty. Managed to grab a glass of wine with some chocolate and a piece of cherry pie. Yum!

We went to Capital Grill for dinner and ate fab pieces of steak. They have what they call the Generous Pour. It is 9 wines that you can sample for $25. All you get of each is about 1 ounce. But this is more than enough for a tasting. Some we did not like so they were not drunk in their entirety, others the glass was drained. It is a great way to sample a wide variety of wines. We are kind of celebrities there. Last year we won a painting. I suspect that we are now tagged in their database as winning the thing as the server asked about it and then the general manager and side-kick manager came around to our table and welcomed us back. I thought it was fun but Craig thought it was a little over the top.

Re: Quick Dry Cafe August 2012

Gee, and all I did was go to Panera for dinner.

Better to take care of the tire now than somewhere down the road. Leaving today. Found a new house sitter, so that is good. Gardner is set as well. Falling into place.

They had a great shot of the Olympic flame today, I really like the looks of it. Very contemporary but with a classical touch.

Re: Quick Dry Cafe August 2012

Belated happy birthday Carol - not online from here much (in Yorkshire and busy).

Howard, did you see how the flame 'holder' was constructed? Each team was presented with a copper petal which was added to a long steel pipe, when all teams were in the Arena, the 'stems and petals' were lt by members of the next generation of athletes and then the stems were raised to vertical - the result was that beautiful 'flower' of flame ...... I'm very impressed with it!
Hope you get your tyres sorted in case the spare wheels are neededwhile you're away. Travel safely!

Susan - your car had just been returned, supposedly fixed! What an awful nuisance!

Cats Elaine - always mischievous little creatures!

Been out all day so have tea to make now.

Blue - nice to see you in here .......... and our Raymo!

Hi to everyone else - sorry can't stay to chat more

Tata for now

So far so good. Made it to Starke, FL today. Always a good stop the first day. So far everything is working, knock on wood.

That sounds like a nice place for a cat to be on a summer's day. Well, unless of course the neighbor's dog is named Clover.

Hi everyone. I thought I'd drop in and say hello. It seems I've been busy with everything but painting lately. I definitely need to work on that.

To borrow a line from "Cool Runnings", I am feeling very Olympic today, how about you?

I've been spending a lot of time in front of the tube watching physical freaks of nature doing things that human bodies should not be capable of performing. Amazing. My compliments to Maureen and her countrymen on a beautiful job with the Olympics so far.
