WDE July 27 - Surfer
I did this one yesterday, in less than 2 hours. I liked this photo very much, but I changed the composition, as figures are a difficult topic for me. Even with this one I mixed-up the things...
watercolor on paper, 7x5 inch
all C&C are welcome!
thank you for looking

Re: WDE July 27 - Surfer
Even if you did mix things up it is a very appealing painting. Just one small thing for me - the footprints are a bit dark, maybe shouldn't be as dark as the shadow. But a great little painting all the same.

Oty.
I like what you did with this ref, it's a lovely painting-I wish I could break my habit of slavishly following the picture.
Thanks for painting this weekend.

Re: WDE July 27 - Surfer
Nice and inviting figure looks fine to me IMHO the rear leg is a bit short so it seems crossing the other one

Oty, very nice change of composition. You did a fine job on the figure.....it's also a small painting which makes the figure even more difficult to paint....my experience from my first post here . She's going to have a fun time riding those big waves!

Oty, I really like this one and could only wish it were me with the surfboard heading out to find a wave or two.

Ros - thank you for the hint on the footprints! You are right, they look far too dark, I will try to lift some of the color.
