Yes, there are a lot of old wood choppers that are minus a few toes. They are pretty fit though. Nice work.

Yes it is a dangerous sport but still extremely popular in New Zealand and Australia. Axe-men still compete at major sporting events and I always hold my breath as they get near too cutting through. Not a sport for the faint-hearted!
