Beautifully done, Raech! Love the yellows, pinks, blues and more in the white fur and those big beautiful eyes. Is this a pastel?

ncgirl, really like the depth you've achieved by keeping the detail in the face and simplifying the body. The softening/blending done below right ear, at the neck, is the perfect touch; says fur is so so soft. Well done

Moscatel, slow to respond but have finally figured out how project viewing/commenting works. Thank you for showing progress pieces. This little guy is great. You have totally captured that stalking before the pounce look of the kitten; I imagine him jumping your hand as you are trying to draw LOL Really wonderful. Nell

Rose Petal, after viewing this piece I will be looking at more of your work to learn from you. The value changes show form really well and the immediacy of your marks makes me think confidence with brushwork. There are a few strokes at the top right hind leg (white with variations of fur colour) that indicate fur and texture so well. Those stroke say much. Nell

Re: Project Discussion: A Cat Walk
Thank you for your kind comments. @nell-this piece is acrylic on canvas. I loved the depth of color on this kitties fur. It was fun to put pink and blue into it.

OMG he's gorgeous and cheeky! You can tell how much he cares about the flower massacre and what you might have to say about it. Also really like your greens.

Sue, love the soft blush in the ears. This angle is hard; the foreground ear must have been especially difficult. You nailed it though; pops right out at us. Also like your soft edges and how body blends into the background.

Re: Project Discussion: A Cat Walk
Wow, all thed paintings posted so far are lovely!
I signed up, even though I don't have any cats right now. I found that I really enjoyed painting cats when I did the Pet Portrait project a couple years ago - this project will motivate me to do some more! Meow!

What a lovely soft piece. The soft edges add to a dreamy quality--I immediately felt like this guy was settling in for a siesta in his favorite basket. Very well done.
