finally a new flower...

I have been busy with either work or painting for my solo show next month. I haven't been doing flowers, but finally decided I needed to paint a new one. What do you think?
It's 16x20, oil

Beautiful work, Michele. The yellow is extremely well done. Where is your show? Good luck!

It's lovely and beautifully done .... and there's a really naughty little face in there too!

Good luck with the show.

Re: finally a new flower...

My show will be in Ventura, Ca, the Harbor Village Gallery . It will be up from Aug22nd to Sept 17th and the reception is Aug 24th 5-8pm. I see Ron you are in Southern California as well, don't know if thats nearby.
But anyone who is in the area and wants to come, it would be cool to meet some of you in person.

Re: finally a new flower...

Hi Michele,
Yes I am very close indeed. In fact I just participated in a show with the Ventura County Arts Council last month. I also had a friend who recently had a show at the Harbor Village Gallery. I live in Oak Park and am a member of the Westlake Village Art Guild. I'll try and get over to see your work.
