eyepaint - Thank you for the list I like your watercolor drawings, especially the vice grip and the sewing machine.
m50paul - Great roof line (plus more) in your painting.
Hanneke - another set of wonderful pen and ink sketches!

Hope to get some sketching done later this week.

Re: Scavenger Hunt #275: July 8 - 16

Well, we are finally back home. Luckily the temps are lower here than they were while we were traveling.

Jo - Have a great trip!

EP - Great washy watercolors. Love the globe! Awesome vice grips! Your injury sounds painful and lucky for you was the non-dominant hand.

Paul - Excellent job on the town hall. Glad the painting relaxed you after the game. Nice sp!

Bonnie - Thanks! We had fun at the wedding and seeing everyone. One of my nephews was in from Germany with his family so that was special. But it was sooooooooooooooo hot!

Here are a few from me.
The first one was done at the Hampton Inn in Roanoke, VA (our stop going down and returning home).
1 - curtains - watercolors and ink
2 - lamp
3 - comfy chair
4 - snack (chocolate chip cookie from the hotel reception area)

5 - office supply - ink

6 - spray bottle - pencil

7 - tool - pencil

Hello everybody!
Irwin; Thank you!

EP: Thank you for a warm welcome! Yes, it is an outdoor lamp all right.
I like the way you use the colors in your sketches, esp. the globe and the tool.
Hope your hand starts feeling better!

Paul; Thank you. I like your lamp very much. Your roof line is wonderful, what a way to recover from a depression! Great!
I admire your self-portrait very much; very well done. How long did it take you?

Joan; Thank you! I like your watercolor sketch very much! Talking about a cosy corner! I can picture myself in that chair, a nice book at hand, a glass with a dash of Oban 14 next to that cookie. Oban 14 combines great with chocolate, do you know that? And with chocolate-ice cream as well. Now, now, Hanneke....don't get carried away here.....

Bonnie and Carole; Thank you for a warm welcome!

A few more from me;
Both sketches done in my sketchbook with fine-liners.
3) Food
4) 2 Pencil sharpeners.

C&C welcome and appreciated!
Greetings, Hanneke.

Re: Scavenger Hunt #275: July 8 - 16

Hanneke - Thanks. Your idea for a beverage with the cookie sounds good. I made some raspberry iced tea to have with it...no mini-bar in the hotel room so I had to settle for what I had. Your hatching is great...different than the usual but really works. That apple and the pencil sharpener came out super!

Irwin - Thank you. Love the shading on your recycling bin. Good job on the sharpener too.

Paul - Thanks. That cookie and several more disappeared mighty fast. Good thing the hotel had an exercise room to work off the calories. Nice job on the sketches of the compass and sharpener.

Ai - Glad you had some time to sketch. I love the roofline and the trees in the sketch of the temple.

Bonnie - Nice job on those sheer curtains. Good thinking for the sewing machine. Yum....bacon!

10 - pencil sharpener - pencil

11 - hand - pencil

12 - foot - inktense pencil and pencil

13 - food - watercolor

Bonnie - thank you. Great batch of sketches. Your mannykins are rather playful imps, hey?
Carole - thank you. Hope to see your sketches soon

Joan - thank you. Wonderful hotel sketches - comfy chair + lamp + curtains + snack - yay! Mmmm cherries
Hanneke - thank you. Great pencil sharpeners.

Re: Scavenger Hunt #275: July 8 - 16

Hello everyone.
Irwin; Thank you! I was admiring the way you handled the background of the bin, didn't even notice the wheel....
Paul; Thank you! Nice sketches, esp. the tool.
Ai; Beautiful and colorful sketch of the roof line, I like it very much.
Bonnie; Thank you. I like your sketches, esp. the curtains. Nice!
Joan; I like those cherries! They have a nice shiny look and a beautiful shadowing. Like the color of these shadows.

Today is (again) a good day for some indoor-sketching. Raining for the third day at a row..How about an exchange? I'll send some nice fresh rain over to you guys and you send me some of that heat and that sun. Deal?
Anyways..
5) Snack. Had a problem with that one. Had to start all over again, when I was halfway my first sketch...
6) Office supply.
7) Toy. Decided to give my colored fine-liners a try here.
8) Hand.

C&C welcome!
Greetings,
Hanneke.

Irwin, great feet, and love the bellbottoms and platform shoes on your figurine
