knot on parchment x-post

The original is 20" x 20", so this loses some detail. I still have a lng way to go as far as knots go, but am having a blast learning different techniques.

Very Nice! I like the interplay of curves and corners and the colors are very pleasing together. The addition of the parchment texture makes a nice setting. It wouldn't have had as much character just against white. Good call.

I would love to see any shares on the techniques you are learning too. My curiosity is piqued.

Re: knot on parchment x-post

I joined the "celtic art" forum in DA, and they offer some tutorials there. For this design, I just tried to use some of each tutorial I read to see how it would come out.

Ty Greg! Planning on getting this copied to a canvas. Does anyone know if that works well? I think walmart & kmart craft dept do it. But don't know if it will come out ok.

I suspect you may get what you pay for...

Look in Artist Magazine for ads for that service, and check also with your locally owned Art Store.

This type of pattern can be distorted by large thread canvas, I suspect finer weaves will do better, perhaps even a giclee,

Love it!
