Who has a digital camera out there that the love? What model is it? How much does it cost? Which digital cameras does everyone recommend for taking pics of your artwork?

I use Sony Mavica. I like it. It is very easy to use. Store images directly in to floppy disk. The other two brands, which are good (according to me) and worth taking a look are Nikon and Olympus. But they store the pictures in the memory stick. You have to buy 8 MB, 16 MB or 32 MB stick depending on your need. The price ranges around $1000+.

I have a Sony Mavica 91 that I have fallen in love with. It is so easy to use and get great images with. It was a birthday present so I dont really know how much it costs but it is well worth it whatever it was. I have some photos on my site.. http://www.geocities.com/bayoubunch
I also have digial art work on the site, but look under photography and you can see how clear the images are. I use it to take photos of the art work in the gallery for each new show, and then send them directly t the gallery site.

I have the Sony that came before the Mavica...so I can speak for it's staying power. I have to upload my pics with a cable...no removable disc. That will be an important feature if I decide to get another digital. But the Sony's are great!!!!

Yes TeAnne,
The image quality is second to none and also the design of the camera is excellent with all the bells and whistles required by the exacting photographer in a fit-in-your- pocket camera. I was particularly pleased to find that a battery charge seemed to last forever.
