Members receive a stamp or seal on their diploma upon graduation, & there are scholarship opportunities exclusive to members. It is supposed to look good on a resume & help with transferring to 4 year schools. I am currently enrolled in an AA degree program in graphic design at my local community college.
Does anybody think it is worth it? does anybody think it will help someone like me going in the arts?

I know no one can decide for me, I would just like some advice & input from fellow artists, as I am a student on a tight budget.

I would say go for it, Sossity. It's only $75 and it doesn't really hurt. I belong to Kappa Delta Pi which is a national honor society in education. To be honest, they really don't do much for you other than take up space on your resume.

I'm not saying it isn't important but, it makes some organization some money and if they provide scholarships then it seems to be worthwhile. Also, it's an honor in itself to be invited.
As for helping you after you graduate, who knows? In my experience it didn't seem to make any difference what I had earned or what my GPA was. All that was important is whether or not I had that degree.
