short sketch on train

Like many, i catch the city train to get to work each day.
I drew this one morning lastweek when the train wasn't very full.
It's only quick and i could probably work on it some more, but thought i would post it up.

Of course it's not awful, Ciarrai! I like that you even got the back of a lady's head. Actually, what I really like is that you have the discipline to sketch when you can!

I'm astounded you got anything down on paper....Our trains are far too bumpy for that.
You did a really good job on the seats

I also like your sketch very much, I think I wouldn't be able to draw in a train if people was watching me.
Please post more sketches.

Many, many years ago, I commuted by train into Boston to work. I still remember it fondly as a wonderful way to commute. Your sketch really brings memories flooding back. Funny how the scene hasn't changed much in nearly forty years...

Anyway, great sketch!

Nice sketch ciarrai. I've never ridden a train, but I would think it would be most difficult to sit and sketch while riding on one even with no one around. I applaud you for the attempt...

The one thing that does annoy me a little when i ride trains is the fact that some people look over your shoulder, or read over your shoulder and you can practically feel them breathing on your neck- and they don't even achnowledge how rude they're being..

lol personal hate!

Great sketch!

And I don't think it needs more work. Quick sketches have something special about them that more finished drawings can often lose.

Cheers
