Re: Scavenger Hunt #271 June 6 - June 14
#1 unforgettable -- saw these two water buffaloes en route of dropping Iris to her school (we live in Bangkok suburb, which used to be lots of agriculture area before)
#2 its complicated -- our piano tuner was working on our piano
#3 satisfaction -- it took him several hours to finish up the piano tuning process, he is quite through with all the details. The previous tuner that we had was dashing in-out in 30 min.
#4 legs -- modeled by Miss Iris
#5 beautiful -- all my family are cuddling at our sofa on Sunday afternoon --I was drawing correctly, Miss Lily was just doing her leaning experiment. No injury had happened during the sketch.
#6 money
#7 America -- my American history teacher gave me this extra booklet to take back to Thailand when I was an exchanged student to Vermont high school ... I have not finished reading it.
#8 fancy -- Tone bought us this as a treat..I think I marry the right man.
------------------------------
Iris (my 6 yr old) was commenting on this batch of my sketches.
Iris : Mommy, when you die, can I have your sketchbook?
Mommy: Yes dear, but let's hope that it will be far away from now...

Irwin - Thank you. Great way to show superstition! Nice work on the poster of Bruce. Fun complicated. Good leg sketch. That's my favorite position to do these sketches.
Paul - Thanks. I see you were at the beach too. It is a great spot to sketch people. Love the Town Hall sketch.
Jeanne - Great job on the rubber tree and all those foods!
Ai - Thanks. Wonderful line drawing of the water buffalo. Love the complicated look inside the piano and then the tuner at work. Cute family sketch. I love Iris's question!
Nothing new from me today...hopefully tomorrow!

Re: Scavenger Hunt #271 June 6 - June 14
I have not disappeared. Just behind as always.
Joan, great idea for America. Nice dollars, too. Beautiful is so true and your sketch is beautiful as well. You always get in your people and sailing in a good way! Clever for dominos. Love the beach scenes. Yummy satisfaction. Nifty idea for downtown. Looks like a nice town.
"J" your mustard comment made me laugh. Nice sketch. Mustard is great for muscle cramps, just take a large spoonful. Gene doesn't eat mustard in general but chokes it down to help the cramps in his legs. It really works, no one knows why. The legs are excellent!! I like the bright colors in your leaves and all. Luscious.
Paul, nice job on the ship. Lots of detail and lines. I like the bike and Gene will, too. Good idea for fever. Our dominos are long gone, nice sketching. For Joan's map, we have been to all the States except for Alaska and will have that under our belt, soon. You have been sketching plein air, too. I really need to do that. Good work. Don't know a thing about hockey of course, hope your teams won or are winning. Our baseball team is out of the College World Series, so we will root for Kent State since it is their first trip to Omaha. No Texas teams at all to root for now.
Kivrin, wow on the clock. Very nice and interesting find!
Bonnie, iris are beautiful. Nice sketch of them. Your campsite and idea for your yard are super.
Hi, EP. Thanks.
Hi Irwin, thanks to you, too. Clever for America. Nice calendar, too. Snazzy legs and so well done. As Joan says, the best way to sketch!
Ai, your sketches are a living journal. Love the complicated sketch. They all make me smile and help know your wonderful family.
Number 4, unforgettable, the black candle holder/lantern was made my our good friend from a coffee can. Number 5, complicated - drawing that little table freehand. Terrible perspective.

Joan: Thank you.
Jo: Thanks, your complicate table came out great. It looks challenging to me.
Irwin: Thanks. The man on the 20 Baht bill is the Thai King Bhumipol. I love how you combine sailing with your easy posed legs. Super.

Re: Scavenger Hunt #271 June 6 - June 14
Wow so many works posted since I last commented on Monday morning:
Joan - cute downtown strip. Is that a sticker on the outside of your passport? That reminds me my passport expires in July. Good satisfaction. I thought of doing that yesterday when I had my lunch but my tummy won out and I ate before I got my sketching supplies out.
Irwin - great calendar and music poster
Paul - looks like people were enjoying the beach? Or do you have a lot of shirtless men wandering around downtown?
Jeanne - good beautiful. My small rubber tree plant is not so small now. It grew and grew and grew! Love the rich bright colours in your yellow collection. Did you use inktense or watercolours?
Ai - I love love love the sketchy water buffalos. What makes them "water" in "water buffalo"? Do they carry water? Live in water? That piano is super complicated. Does the piano tuner charge by the hour or by the project? Iris was a great leg model. Lily leaning like the tower of Pisa is so funny. That cake is so pretty!
Jo - I would get so lost trying to draw those table legs. Can you take a spoonful of sugar to help the spoonful of mustard medicine go down?
Bonnie - cute Lion king magnet.
stephanie - wonderful rhino and "don't" signs
