I posted some of my Zoo shots over in the pub but figured I'd choose one favorite and post it here.
This is shown full frame so I'll be able to get a decent sized print from it, considering it was shot through glass without a polarizer I am happy with the sharpness

I can see why you posted this one here, it's superb. I loved the ones in the pub, but this has to be my favourite. Well done!

Mike, you sure got some terrific shots while you were at the zoo. I love the eyes on this one!

(I was going to say something funny...but decided I've said enough for one day. )

What a beauty! I'd never have picked that it was taken through glass although I might have wondered about how close you were. At least I'm assuming you were close as it looks like you used flash. Actually, I just looked again an maybe it's bright sunshine as his eyes are shaded. In any case, this is a great shot and I'm impressed that you avoided all reflections. - well done!

Wonderful expression! Very sharp! I too "shot" one through the glass once and it isn't easy but it can be done without reflections. You just have to get in the right spot.

What a soulful look he has! This would make a fantastic piece of artwork. Alan would oyu consider putting some of your zoo shots in the refrence library (if you haven't already)??

Mike-I don't know how close you were but he looks like he's eyeballing you! LOL! Wonderful shot under the difficult conditions-did you use a polarizer? Wonderfully exposed and composed-I like the green on the right as it brings the whole thing together!Looks like the bottom center might be a tad foggy-your breath maybe?
Great shot!

Isn't it an awesome experience to be in the presence of such a beautiful creature? I love the shot & felt exactly that way. It's the eyes. Great job.

Whew, wondered how you got so close. Figured either a good telephoto or a lot of chutzpah! Nice shot through the glass. Definitely a lot of detail to be happy with.

This is a great shot, Mike, so much expression in the gorilla's eyes. Good one!
