It is similar in color and prise to an unknown transparent iron oxide.

Anyway, but "inferior to PR122 and PV19," what do you mean ? Is it lightfastness? PV19 is "lightfastness 1" indeed, but overall it is a bit less stable than PR122 (Maimeri seems to make the most lightfast PR122 from the paints listed – 8,8 on the Blue Wool Scale.) Here are the links:

As for the "unknown" transparent iron oxide, I
think the color might be close "Brown Oxide" (PR101 as well.) It's somewhat rare, considering you can probably get a similar hue it with Transparent Red Oxide (PR101) and Mars Black (PR101.)
