Look at a painting by Matisse and analyse his colour scheme in that painting and use those colours to do your paint-along from one of the photos above.

I like them both June. You have a nice touch with water colors.

Painted up a storm this morning.



Went through my Matisse book to see if I could find any animals and all he had was a couple of dogs and a weird looking cat...so treated the monkey like a design.



Matisse's paintings are so beautiful they give me a pain in my heart.

Forgot to mention how much I liked your sketches, Sandra. I like what you did with the Buddha and vase and the skeleton looks like a pretty neat dancer....I thought this one was a pretty hard one to intrpret, but you made it fun.

Hi Janet. I love your use of pattern in your designs...so Matissey.

I got a little paperback on Matisse the other week. I love the way he painted women beside plants.

I haven't tried anything Matissey with the photos yet. The month is young yet. ...so hopefully.
