2 new paintings

A recent portrait I did, oil on linen, 18x10

And a 'feel good' painting, titled "Summertime", 12x16
I loved painting the colorful shirts and the reflections.

Happy painting!

Erik

Re: 2 new paintings

Thank you Sandra and gfgfgfgfgf!
Sizes are in inches indeed.
About the background, don't know, I like it that way. I usually prefer sketches over fully rendered studio paintings so it probable has to do with that.
Hope that helps..

Gorgeous work!
Love the skin tones on the portrait, and the sense of light and loose treatment of the grass/water in the second one.

Re: 2 new paintings

The skin tones were fabulous, and very good work on both paintings.

Re: 2 new paintings

These are amazing, I love the brushwork. With the first I thought "Wow, can't get any better than this" and then I scrolled down! This is just the kind of style I love and hopefully one day will develop myself. Top stuff!

Re: 2 new paintings

Lovely! Great style, colors, everything - and photography!

It's so interesting how differently I look at a painting now. I study the brush strokes like it will give me the secret to paint well if I only stare hard enough.
