Blushing Beauty
Hi again....am on a Peony binge,am in the Peony Festival in Oshawa in June so thought I would try to do a few peony paintings for it,this is the first.
It's 11" x 16" on watercolour 300lb. paper.
All critiques most welcome...thanks for looking!

Re: Blushing Beauty
One could mean, the drop immediately rolls down, so realistically he is painted! The blossom brings the colours powerfully and the background forwards. Great!

Re: Blushing Beauty
This is so pretty, the pink contrasts well with the dark background and I love the one droplet of water.

Cheryl, this is beautiful! Peonies are so complicated, but yours came out very well!

Re: Blushing Beauty
Just gorgeous! It's a lovely rendering of a pink peony. I have a paler pink one than this one but am wanting to get another one and this color or the deep burgundy one is on my list. I think you captured it's delicasy and soft petals very well...and that waterdrop is killer!
