Thanks for posting your announcement Linda. I would love to see a grouping of your pieces together. It must be quite something with all the movement and color you capture.

Could you take a couple of pictures of the show hanging for us to see?

Best wishes with everything!!

Diane

Cool

Linda
I really like the way you are able to handle all the greens. Somone else told me how they did it the other day - in Ireland where everything is a shade of green. If it is not a secret.....could you relay what all you use?
Thanks
Jerry

greens

Jerry,
I use a limited pallette. I prefer Old Holland Paints.
Veridian Green
Sap Green
Thalo Blue
Ultramarine Blue medium
Brilliant Rose
Diox Purple
White
Cad Yellow light

I don't follow traditional mixing rules. I start mixing and painting, incorporating colors as I go. Depending on time of day and time of year, the palette varies. Since I am an expressionist painter, I don't have to be concerned with a realistic interpretation of the scene before me. i use the scene I'm viewing as a jumping off point, allowing the painting to evolve as I go.
Love,
Linda

Linda
Thanks for sharing that....I have learned a lot for you on handling some colors that I tend to "muddy-up" sometimes. I really hope to Florida to see your show.!!!
Thanks
Jerry
