Monday, May 14
Good morning everyone. No big plans for today. The sun is out, though.
Great music last night followed by good pizza. Very good Mother's Day with mom, Petey and my sister.
Enjoy. Ciao

Re: Monday, May 14
Good Morning Everyone!
Ellen....sounds like you had a good day with family, food & music!!
I can say I didn't eat one frigging healthy thing yesterday! OK, maybe the bowl of oatmeal with sugar free applesauce, cinnamon and honey would fit the bill. But!!! it was like twice as much as I needed! Had a very nice picnic with the girls and their families. The boys played on the toys with all of us, and I got a large cool fountain, that is in my house! So far the cat and dogs have left it alone. If I keep their water bowls full, maybe they won't drink from the fountain!
I rode with Heather and Xavier up to Grand Rapids to hit a furniture store. They had a sofa they liked that only had a photo locally. So we went up to set on the same style sofa and see if it was comfy before they ordered it! It was and I found a dining outfit for them! I think they will be talking to the store and seeing if there is a way to get the dining room down here (big glass top) without paying the world for transportation! With a little luck they will close on their house some time before the middle of next week! Heather wants the pool open before Xavier's birthday July 10th, so they are on a mission!
OK, I can smell the coffee, the window behind my computer is open and I am not freezing, the sky is blue and everything is lush and green! It's a good day!! Enjoy every moment!
Dilly
Ellen I saw this and thought of you! I miss living in a small town, it was a great place to raise kids. I always told them I didn't need an eye in the back of my head to know what they were doing! There were lot's of people in town who were more than willing to tell on them!!

Dill - good luck with the indoor fountain. We tried it once but our cat, at the time, wouldn't leave it alone.
The small town thing is so true and comforting - most of the time.

Morning everyone.
Sounds like you all had a nice Mother's day. Dilly I have heard that calories do not count on holidays. I wonder what is celebrated today . I ndoor fountain you say? Not a chance with our critters. The one cat is gauranteed to be in it all of the time.
Busy but productive weekend. Finally got to be out in the field. Now I just have to figure out what is going in the field for the summer. Really leaning towards the sunflowers this year.
Have a good one.

Re: Monday, May 14
I am the princess of fountains. Something about the tinkling of the water makes me relax and I love the glistening of it in the sun! This is my third large fountain. I too like you guys had problems with table top fountains, our cat thought they were her personal water dish!
The newest fountain will probably end up out doors, but for now I set it up by the fireplace just to see how it goes. So far the dogs snooped around, and sniffed and then left it alone! The cat has not done anything I think there is enough water in this one to keep it from getting knocked over unless Dozer gets it in his head to attack it!
Here is my newest addition to my fountains!

Fly by for me..... lots to get done today... Sounds like everyone had a good Mother's Day. Dilly ~ Love the fountain. I keep looking but the ones that I want are in the $700-800 range and I'm not doing that!
Karen ~ Sorry for your loss. Hugs.
Off and running as soon as I finish my cup of coffee... Sunshine finally!

(late) mornin' everyone. Had a very good weekend. Yard and back deck cleaned AND DS and I had our first day at the beach yesterday. The beach wasn't crowded at all and it was warmer and sunnier than I thought it would be.

Re: Monday, May 14
I had my brain tumor cerebellum cut out last wed, and discharge home on Sat. So today I start contacting Kaiser groups for help. This is overwhelming sometime as I have no family that lives by me and I live alone. I am steady on my feet but just weak, even my bible feels to heavy for me. Please pray for me that I gain strength. I lost 16 with throwing up and they want me to gain it back.

Maureen, I'm sorry you've been through so much, but so thankful that you've come through surgery successfully. Prayers that you start gaining your strength and weight back as you recover.

Re: Monday, May 14
Maureen, I'm so sorry that you are having such a rough time. Seems like you've had much more that your share. I'm sending healing thoughts your way, with ability to gain weight and keep it on. (I'd love to give you some of mine! Wish that were possible, I would do it in a flash!) Keep in touch with us. I know we aren't right there, but we're all pulling hard for your recovery. www.gratefulness.org and lighting candles has helped me tremendously when I feel as there is no one to turn to.....Sending you warm hugs and thoughts of wonderful strength returning to you.
Love and hugs,
ginger
