Leyla
This is one I'm doing just for fun. Working on basics. The one thing I've learned is, I will not do another that's tilted, my neck feels kinked. C&C'S.

Re: Leyla
Hi Grace, looking good, check her eyebrows, they're not as round as you have them. Also, if you lighten that red under her jaw, and soften the edges of the jaw and lips, it would read better.
Haha, I agree on the tilted pose, I've been avoiding those myself!
Keep having fun!

Re: Leyla
John, thanks for reply/commenting. The tilt, also the nose have not been fun to deal with. I keep going back from a Michael Jackson nose to pig nose. OMG! Here's one (looking up her nostrils): I think I change it again and just noticed the red blotch on forehead. Is there no end. Well, still a WIP(and maybe forever).I see what you mean will have to work on that too.

Re: Leyla
For some reason I cannot upload anything tonight - but I did a black and white comparison for you - can you access this ?
https://picasaweb.google.com/kevinwueste/May162012
Key things I see in the drawing - eyes are not so open and I don't see all of that eye-white ( sclera)
more teeth visible but they are not very bright ( yours are white)
jaw is wider a bit and slightly more squared off.
nose has almost no form - slight shadow where nostrils are and nostrils!
nice dark shadow on our left ( her right) side of head - get that in there and it will help light her face/ up more!
I will post the image if I can get it to!

Re: Leyla
oh sure now it works after all that!
I straightened her up as it's MUCH easier to see what's going on this way than with the tilt..

Re: Leyla
That really helps, Kevin, seeing them side by side. What did you use to do that? I'd like to be able to do that, it does help so much. I could create a document and cut/paste but how did you rotate it?
Anyway, I changed it again, but now, I see what you mean although, I didn't care so much about likeness as just making her look believeable. I'll post new one w/nose change, but will be doing some more changes (eyes, mouth, etc.)and will post after that.

Re: Leyla
Hi Grace, you're welcome! My go-to speedy tool for this stuff ( side-by-side/ rotate) is microsoft powerpoint. (I used to work there so know the tools well!).. You can do this in photoshop but it's a lot more labor intensive ( at least to me).

Re: Leyla
We have that, I'll ask my kids to show me. They know how to do all that, I don't have a clue. Thanks. I hope I'm moving in the right direction, it's been long, hard days working on Leyla. Thanks for your help.
