Hi everyone, just finished this piece this morning. Musk Lorikeet, Polychromos pencils on Arches hotpress watercolour paper, A4 size.

Lovely work Cat. Love the intensity in the eye and that sharp beak - contrasts so well with the delicacy of the feathers.

What glorious colours! Bright and bold, yet you still manage to convey the delicateness of the bird and softness of its feathers .
PLUS as others have indicated the viewers focus is lead to the birds face and as much as your eye may travel around it always comes back to the birds eye. Wonderful!
