When mums away - Fox cubs - WIP

This is my new project, I've gone for a composition with a nod towards the Art Nouveau style. I don't know if it will work out but I'm going to give it a go.
This is my initial layout sketch ready for my lightbox to transfer onto 140lb CP watercolour paper. I do my initial sketch on tracing paper because its very easy to erase all my mistakes and it makes using the lightbox easier too.
Please let me know what you think, even if you think my ideas are weird

Hi Marie, I don't think the idea is weird at all. It is a great idea to an Art
Nouveau- styled work. Little foxes are so cute and this will have an almost fairy-like feel about it, I am sure. I think in the end it will make a delightful greetings card. Really looking forward to how you handle this one.

Thanks Clydeine,Chammi, KarenESP, Rob, Angela, Mado, OurCassidy and Peggy for the votes of confidence. At the moment I am doing some under painting with water colour pencils and it looks truly ugly. If I get home early enough tomorrow I hope to get an update on.

Ok guys, this is truly an ugly stage. This is my underpainting of the background using water colour pencils and then a waterbrush. I use this because it gets rid of all those little white speckles but very little is actually seen at the end. As I said earlier I'm trying to go for an Art Nouveau feel to this and so Im trying to make the background quite stylised but the foreground will hopefully be a little more realistic. I'm really hoping I can make the marriage work. Please share your thoughts and any questions, suggestions etc.

I've no doubt this will be as wonderful as your last piece Marie, I only have done one fox and I thoroughly enjoyed it, they are a wonderful subject - will check back......
