Re: Scavenger Hunt #268 May 13 - May 21
Jeanne - the concept that "jiggle" and "cottage cheese" conjures up - eeeek! If I drew that then everybody would leave the hunt!
Kivrin - great danger
Jo - fun shoes
Joan - great crispy cracker (I should not view your work when I'm hungry) and of course you would have a pretty nail file for working on your pretty pedicures
Paul - great camera
Marriam - love your watery watercolours
Stephanie - great boots
I did some sketches - hope to post later today.

Re: Scavenger Hunt #268 May 13 - May 21
Ai: Thanks ..Nices sketches... I really enjoy the sketches with lily, she is so cute... great job on the castanet.... good thinking on end...
Joan: Thanks.. the water color paintings are awesome! love the light house and small beach cabins... the foliage came out great... Nice job with the crackers, bottle opener (bet it came in handy at the beach ), and emery board as well as with the zipper, pencil and eyes ( good choice).
J: Thanks...Nice sketches, the A&W root beer is great, one of my favorite tonics (a.k.a. soda)... good luck with the diet.. I can loose weight but find it difficult to keep off.... I am pretty sure it has to do with peanut butter, ice cream, potato chips, and chocolates but I am not sure, still studying the matter....
Kirvrin: Great sketch of the knife and yes I would say that is very dangerous good choice...
marriam: Thanks.... great job with the peppers, water color sticks and Extra... good choice with Extra...
Jo: Thanks ... Nice sketches... like your choice for nearby, well done too... like both choices for match, good job....
Stephanie... Great choice, nice job on boots... and yes It is interesting to see the varied interpretations of the items..
Eyepaint: Thanks... I am afraid to even ask....
I have been spending way too much time thinking than sketching which happens a lot lately... hopefully I will get a few done later today...

Re: Scavenger Hunt #268 May 13 - May 21
HB pencil and sometimes hilighter pen on graph paper, around 2 hours for the group.
1. crisp apple
2. flat scissors
3. quart is approx. 0.9 L so here is a one litre bottle
4. zipper on a change purse
5. end of a stapler
6. stick pen (is a red pen, but the highlighter was pink)
7. inside a box of paper clips
8. handy - binder clips are so handy. No safety pins? No pockets? Use binder clips on your clothing
9. two highlighters that match in shape and size but not in colour.
Cheers,

Re: Scavenger Hunt #268 May 13 - May 21
no worries, paul. the thinking passes and the sketching resumes
because all the great works here are so inspiring
(as in: hhhmm.. multiple mediums, eh? - time to try watercolor?
seeing joan, and jeanne, and ai, and marriam, and all...)
but in the meantime
i guess i have to be first with
#2 Keester (a.k.a. bear bottom)
still diggin' the 7B graphite...

EP nice finds. Are you by chance at work? All those office supplies. Good job on the paper clip. I find those very hard. The bale kind not the flat kind. Good job on the zipper
Stephanie nice find on the bear keester.
Paul I like your vase with the flowers. Nice use of the bowl of soup.

Stephanie - great idea for keester
Jeanne - congrats on maintaining the new weight. Yup those items were at work.
Paul - thank you. What do YOU do on the beach that will get you arrested? Different beaches in different places have different rules.

Re: Scavenger Hunt #268 May 13 - May 21
Joan, very clever for handy. Nifty flat, too. Also match. And, of course your landscapes sing.
Paul, what a great pastime and sketch, too. Nice flowers.
marriam, wow on your sketches with watercolor. I haven't seen watercolor sticks. Hmmm. New supply for me??? Clever extra! The bottom made me smile, too.
Stephanie, I like your boots. Well done.
EP, as usual you made me laugh. Love the scribbely apple and quart. Difficult end and handy.
Jeanne, wish I could do those for bread. I resort to rice cakes and corn tortillas. Nice sketch.
Irwin, I always like your detailed drawings. Lovely hatching.
Number 3, green - trees and Number 4, yellow - flowers. On Brushes on the iPad. I started for green, everything seemed so green, then realized the flowers are abundant and very yellow. I spent much more time on this than I intended. Probably 30 - 40 minutes. Some "undos" also. Sigh.... Not the intention.
We are sitting the grand-dogs this weekend so may get the jiggly done yet.
