Buffy the cat in pastel pencil
Thank you to Gary (aRt4us) for granting me permission to paint his beautiful cat, Buffy, from a photo he took of her
Here is Gary's photo of Buffy
and here is my version, Pitt pastel pencils on Murano paper

Yes, I like very much, my wife (who Buffly adopted) thinks you capture Buffy realy well.

I think Buffy is absolutely beautiful. Wonderful eyes which I do feel would be even more mesmerising if you punched up your darks a little.Terrific work.

What a pretty girl. You've done a nice job Elaine. Pushing the darks in the eyes or brightening the highlights? I think if you whiten part of the highlights the eye would "pop" although that may be difficult at this stage with a pastel pencil. A little dab with a Schminke white would do the trick.

Boy, that expression and the softness of the fur is the cat's pajamas!  Perhaps a little darker values under the paws to "anchor" her a bit more?
