Re: Grampa's Pride

Was this a photo manipulation, or did you paint it out? Are most of your paintings photomanipulations? I can never tell.

Re: Grampa's Pride

Thanks Karen, glad you like.

@ timE .... "Grampa's Pride" is pure photo manipulation. Originally shot and processed on an iPhone and now re-processed in ArtRage, SketchBook Pro and CS6. .... Sometimes I just manipulate photos but lately I've been working on a reverse process by creating a digital painting and later treating it as a photo manipulation ( hope that made sense, I tend to be rather bass ackwards in my approach to art )

This is one of my digital paintings using ArtRage oils and palette knife without any manipulations.

This one is a digital painting I did using ArtRage and SketchBook Pro and later treated as a photo manipulation on my iPhone in order to achieve the texture.

Re: Grampa's Pride

None of this makes sense to me but I do like the middle "painting (?)".

Re: Grampa's Pride

@Sean T.
This is why I would never be capable of teaching art, I know how to execute but fail at verbalizing.
Yes.... The middle one is a painting, digital oils and palette knife.
