****Daily Wash Tuesday May 8 2012****
At the risk of being awarded 'the ears'..........
Hi everyone
Quick scan, think I'm safe........breathing deeply......Phew!
Another great day in Kiwiland, weather is changing, a bit of drizzle this afternoon, but not cold, have only just lit the fire but don't really need it.
Love the changing of the seasons though, each has its pleasures. We've had a very long dry sunny spell, am quite happy to hunker down now
Had a great w/end with family, am now head down trying to get some work ready for a few exhibitions that I've committed to enter.
Am delighted to read of your successes and awards Ona, no-one is surprised though!
Dinner calls

Good morning Lulu, nice to have visitors
Sitting here enjoying watching the mother Blackbird pulling out dead leaves and twigs of Thyme from the rockery and flying off to make her nest. I love Spring.
Hazy sunshine this morning, clouds look rather damp, but hope the rain holds off.
We are looking forward to seeing Tommy and his wife this morning on their way to the Lake District. Maybe Pat and Winnie can make it too. I hope they get decent weather, sometimes you can't see the tops of the mountains for low cloud.
Good to see Carolynn check in yesterday, hope you are well Carolynn

It is indeed Doug! How lovely to be meeting Tommy and his wife, say hi from me.
Aren't birds clever?
Heard this afternoon that one of the old ladies that i visit died this morning, she was 102! and such a delight, she always had to have her makeup on and her (purple) hair done before seeing anyone. Will be a joy to be present at her farewell celebration.

Re: ****Daily Wash Tuesday May 8 2012****
 Good evening.
Doug, lucky you getting to meet Tommy and his lovely lady wife. Give them a hug from me..
Betty, I loved reading about your ducks. I can't believe Katy is nearly 2 years old. Where did the time go!! I bet she is just adorable. Your Cardoon, is quite beautiful. Love your palette.
Uschi, I am glad you weren't injured in your car dingle. I hope you can get it fixed and the insurance sorted promptly.
Kay, I really love my phone camera as a spare. It is an Samsung GalaxyII
Caryl, that pavement art was very good. I bet your son is very excited!!
Bill, I wonder where Miss Feral disappears to. What a worry.
Geoff, I sometimes drink a hot chocolate before bed, or a chamomile tea with a dash of cinnamon and honey. Helps me sleep id I am struggling.
(((Char))) I hope you are feeling better this morning. Back pain sucks.
Gail, how ar eyou doing?
Carolynn, are you there??? Sorry I haven't rung yet, I will and explain..
Hey Darla, how are you today?
Sylvia of the super garlic. I enjoyed you show photos.
Henry, sure hope your wife gets some pain relief. Gentle hugs for her.
I went for a short bushwalk with my group yesterday. We headed to the Lamington National park, and O'Riellys' Ii is about a 2 hour drive from Brisbane, one hour getting up the mountain. It was a very enjoyable walk. I am so lucky with my group. They are such a great bunch, always there to lend a hand when I am struggling. I took a few photos, and will post them for you in Palette Talk. I was busy most of the time, looking down, and trying to stay upright. One girl poor thing, fell over twice and got a wet behind, another fell into the waterfall pack and all. There is hope for me yet. I didn't see the latter, as Graham had advised me not to go down tot hat waterfall..
I had a very quiet day today, ankle is really complaining. It is still swollen darn it, after how many weeks now..
Love, hugs and healing vibes to those who are ill. I am thinking of you..

Good Day all,
Another rainy day ahead today.
Doug, have a good visit with Tommy and his wife, and maybe Pat and Winnie.
JJ, I hope Ms. Feral isn't two-timing me with another home. Cats do that, you know. How nice that you have such good walking friends. Friends keep us alive.
I'll be visiting my dental hygienist today for a six month cleaning.
I'll also look for some potato seeds. I bought some grow bags which work like raised beds but much smaller. Doug gave me the idea when he visited last year. I'll let you know how it works, Doug.
Bill

Re: ****Daily Wash Tuesday May 8 2012****
Good evening.
Relaxing day at work today ... after yesterday
Got home. Took Loki for a walk. She is getting used the harness but is quite unsettled by the flocks of squarking rainbow lorikeets. In fact ... scared. so back inside where she proceeded to chew Rogers study notes. Only the corners. One must make ones mark upon the world. Then Bo wanted out. I was reading so he sat on the verandah with me then migrated down to lawn just outside. Eventually I called him and shock and awe he walked towards me, allowing for a pat and pick up and back inside. Fire had been lit by then so he was very content. I think he has been very depressed but is hopefully coming out of it.
Doug, enjoy your time with Tommy and his wife
Lulu
JJ
Stewgold, your cat sound like ... a cat. Plunging into bushes to get down Worry??? No???
Tigger, one of our previous cats, who had a limp after very expensive reparative work on a broken rear leg a mere three weeks after we rescued
him, sat on top of a power pole with his gammy leg hanging down and all the neighbors raced in in terror telling us about him and should we get the fire brigade? While the street watched my ginger Arnie cat rappelled down the pole
and gave us all look of disgust. Nothing wrong with his front legs.
Henry, hope you are warm Hope also that you wife's treatment went well.
Char
Bill, she's probably on adventures. knows where home is though.
BBL, dinner ..

Re: ****Daily Wash Tuesday May 8 2012****
Hi
Thanks for all the congrats over the last couple days. I have some more good news My painting 'Interes-Ted' won the peoples choice award.
It narrowly beat my other painting 'Comfor-Ted' which came in second. To get first and second in the people's choice is such a good feeling. Guess I'll be painting more teddies to exhibit around here as they seem very popular.
Good to see you pop into the wash yesterday Carolynn ((((hugs)))
(((Char))) and anyone else who needs a hug
Have a good day everyone.

Re: ****Daily Wash Tuesday May 8 2012****
Hi everyone
Ona --Your work is so beautiful. Congrats to you
Just looked outside and a little rain coming down.
Well I have some news ---I have an interview at 3pm today for a nurse in a pediatric office. Got the call yesterday. It is for full time (I would have preferred part time 30hrs) but you get 1/2 day off during the week so that works out OK. It is located 15 north of us and is just directly off the interstate exit. It is a group associated with our county hospital. Also located close to shopping area (WalMart, JoAnn Fabrics, a shopping Mall) my kind of work location. Hours 7:30AM - 4:30PM.
I'll keep you posted.
Bill - we have several outdoor ferral cats that several of us neighbors feed. When we go outside in the morning we always have one sleeping on the porch and have to feed them before we leave.
Haven't read all the wash for a couple of days so will do that this morning.

Good Morning Everyone!!
Overcast and temperature is to go up to 19C.
Yesterday it was supposed to rain all day and we never even got a drop
My only definite plan for today is to go for my annual pedicure My son and DIL gave me the gift certificate in February for my birthday. It's a nice place.
Ona, CONGRATULATIONS!!! It IS a wonderful painting and I personally feel that "The People's Choice Award" is the most prescious of them all!!!
Stewgold, loved to read about your cat's antics.
Doug, ENJOY lunch with our friends!!!
Annie, smiling at your Loki being scared of the birdies.
Bill, Ms. Feral has it made at your place!!!! Nobody else would be that kind to her!!
JJ. good to hear that you had another nice outing with your friends!! Sure glad it wasn't you who fell into the water
Lulu, WOW, that lady had a loooong life!!
Carolynn, was good to see your post!! Hope your health is good again!!
tp all here, all I have cross posted with and all yet to come!!!
