Local Landscapes X
Been a while. This is 16x26. pastel on board
Acrylic wash underpainting ( all the of the wash is covered with pastel). Pans, nupastels and various softies.
I did an acrylic like this with window and still life. I like the combo, so wanted to try the dust on this subject.
Cheers, derek

Re: Local Landscapes X
I admire the patience in this... painting the small landscapes and then RE-PAINTING them in another painting... wow. Not sure I could endure that.
Oh, and it's a darn nice painting too!

Re: Local Landscapes X
I had to do a double take when I first opened your post Derek. This painting shows extraordinary skill with pastels and attention to detail.
My attention went immediately to the table where the wood grain, shine and reflection jumps right at the viewer. It's also the paintings framed and on the wall, I mean seriously?

Re: Local Landscapes X
I love this painting! Keeps one in the picture, looking it over. It took me a moment to realize the large "window" was in fact, part of the painting. Would be great put in a show.

Wow! Wonderful and so much to take in with the small pictures framing the window.
