Re: sunshower
LA, .. .hmm .... this is marvelous!! Please, don't tone down the red reflection. Even more, I would make the reflection in the 3 figures on the left a bit more pronounced and vibrant as well. This makes the entire picture so much more shiny and vibrant! ..
My amateur two cents

In agreement with all, uncertain about the red, you are the artist, 'tis your call.

Re: sunshower
thanks guys, you're so supportive!
i did wiggle a bit more white into the red reflection - i fear leaving it so strong pulls they eyes down and holds them a bit too much, distracts from the misty air feel.
knife work is fun and having big globs of paint to use up gives freedom to slather it around without worrying about wasting it - it's out of the tube already and ya can't put it back in, so ....
it's almost too quick tho, over too soon, to play around too much makes dull, muddy color, this took about two hours and i had to leave it for fear of overworking it. course by then it was midnight and likely a wise time to pack it up anyway, lol.
thanks again for your eyes and thoughts

Re: sunshower
Rather than dull the reflection, perhaps redden the dress a little more! I love it as it is, the reflection is no problem for me, she is the highlight, perhaps the main figure of interest and the reflection just adds to her importance. It is not a photo, it is a painting and you can do anything if you are clever, you are very clever and this reflection works!!!!!!!!! Besides, reflections in water a supposed to be a little darker!!! I love it very much. Great work. =))

Re: sunshower
Oooooooo! Love this and I almost missed it! The beautiful wetness you've created is scrumptious. And the figures? Love them. I'd hang this in a NY minute!

Re: sunshower
16 x 20 is a lot of juicy paint! Love this, so, so much. Don't change a thing.
