Workin' on the River

Hi, y'all

I haven't posted anything over here in a while. Been mostly doing watercolor landscapes and florals. But, last night I decided to try something new and wandered down to the river and snapped some photos of some towboats workin' on the Ohio here in front of Owensboro, KY. I feel a series comin' on.

This is 7.5"x11" Arches 140lb. cold press

The towboat is named the John A. Yager

Here are some specifics of the boat that I found on Google:

Length 91.1 feet - Breadth 25.3 feet - Single Screw GM 12-645, 1350 hp
Built 1955 by Nashville Bridge Co., Nashville, TN

Originally Eleanor
Renamed John A. Yager 11/1977

Thanks for viewing,
Todd

The colors come through very clean in this Todd, gives it such a bright and happy feeling. I think it would make a great series

Re: Workin' on the River

Thanks, everyone.

I'm very much looking forward to working on this series. I can't believe I hadn't thought to do it before now. The opportunities for subject matter are endless.

Happy painting,
Todd
