Re: The Plant Parade, a forum Project: May 2012

Wow, what a super gallery. Thanks for putting this together Shar and thanks Katherine for the challenge. The paintings look so fabulous together. Isn't it marvellous to see so many different interpretations of the same theme by a wonderful group. I'm sorry I didn't get to comment individually but everyone deserves a round of applause. I really enjoyed my first PP. Thanks again.

Re: The Plant Parade, a forum Project: May 2012

What a great gallery of works everyone.

OK I've been wracking my brain and I have a glimmer of an idea

My initial idea has been washed out by the rain - literally. The flowers I wanted to photograph all look droopy and washed out as we have had several heavy showers this week. BUT stay tuned......

Awesome gallery and equally awesome works. Boggles my mind how everyone came up with so many unique designs.

I'm ready to paint again so off to explore cubism... it will take some studying.

Many thanks everyone. My part this month was minimal. Glad you like the gallery.
It was all of you who worked their magic and came up with some wonderful paintings, and our lovely host Antiqueteacher - Katherine who made it all happen!!!!

Wow, Kay, this is amazing work!! Love the earrings!! Good idea!! The blouse just sings, too! Love the vines in the bg!! My you look good, GF!!

Nicole, welcome to the Florals and Botanical Forum and the Plant Parade for May!! Sorry you had trouble with the uploader, but that is to see IF you REALLY want to post or not! (I removed all of the excess posts, so that your painting is the star!!) So glad that you found us and were able to join in!! (Actually, you do not have to be finished painting on the 25th, but you cannot post it until then. You can continue to paint and post until the last day of the month.)
This is such a lovely AN painting with all the twists and turns and curls!! I guess the earrings are the Bird of Paradise like Kay's!! Good for you!! We would like to know what size it is and the medium. Wonderful work, Nicole, and am looking forward to your next Plant Parade!!

Lil, we are glad that you participated, too!!

Peeps, outstanding month!! More to come. . .

Katherine

Hellooooooo. Sorry for the delayed reply. YEah, I had trouble at first but I did manage to post it so never mind that part. LOL thanks for the removal of the excess. Yes, actually I didn't know there was a part where I had to include the birds of paradise cos my mum only told me it has to be art noveau so i searched online and made my version of a certain Tarot Card lol The size I'm not sure of but it's just a little bit bigger than an A4 size paper and the whole thing was just pencilled then inked. Not a painting at all. Umm, does it have to be a painting though? Is there a limitation as to what medium must and must not be used? I wasn't actually well informed about all of this but I figured it would be fun to share my creativity with people who share the same mindset and interest in arts and crafts and yes, i find, it is.
