Re: The Plant Parade, a forum Project: May 2012

At last I have the internet for a little while so here goes and sorry that the comments are so late!

Wet Canvas flowers
Marion: Breathtaking. Love all the petals and feathery swirls and colours. In the second there are so many elements in this clever drawing. I think turquoise and burgundy are a fabulous colour combo. Love it with the zingy yellow!
Angie: So tactile, colourful and almost textured.
Jamie: Striking. Love the way the black and white background detail enriches the lovely BOP.
CEM: So finely drawn and sophisticated. This would make a lovely table centre.
Sarales: That paper really has worked for you. The soft, background wash has certainly highlighted the lovely detailed drawing of the BoP.
Kay! That Art Nouveau background is a detailed treat! The picture is such fun, makes me smile and I really want those earrings!
Nicole: What a modern twist on the given style! So much detail and romance.
Artsymom: Love the BOP and petal details. Those white swirls are very effective against a black background.
Robert: What super, varied colouring on the big pod! Good impact with the size of the flower.
Everythingsheneeds: Love the intriguing 3D effect and unusual colouring.
Joan T. Haha! Well you’ll just have to visit a warmer climate! What a lovely design and so clever to use the stencil effect of the flowers in the border.
Scattykat: Enviable skill and imagination. It’s a stunning mixture of old and new styles.
Agnesdale: As usual, so effective with the delicate leaves and swirls on the black border. An interesting figure with the diaphanous covering. Contemplative and striking.
Artastic: May we all have our initials painted like this? Wonderful, flowing design and colours.
Noodle: Gorgeous elegance and design. It reminds me of a vase belonging to an elderly aunt. I admire the little shake of the petals, the use of white and circles within circles.
Trier: Those BoP’s jump right out of the darkness in the second picture…WOW! I do like your swirls and fine drawing.
Katherine: Oh my! How it pops! A festive carnival of colours, shapes and great drawing! What is that fantastic blue colour?
Tresgatos: Nouveau and Deco so cleverly mixed! Would LOVE that container and I do like the overhanging border.
Eyepaint: Such control! You must publish a colouring book as it was fun to look for the BoP! Then I saw the coloured version: super swirls and paisley shapes. So much to enjoy!
Nur: That’s so elegant! Designs within designs! What a lovely picture or even embroidered chairbacks…beautiful!
Metallic Meggs: What a great idea to give that extra glow… I like particularly the way the design of the first peeks through the frame.
Ulla: The Copic markers work so well here. What a strong design and so much to see and delight in such a small area!
Vivien: Love the title! So imaginative as the Art Nouveau circles swirl with ivy around the BoP reaching for the sky.
Maureen: That’s stunning in Acrylic Inks! What beautiful flow and writing. The yellow background really sets it off.
Rozzie: So clever the way in which you used the BoP in the border design. What a gorgeous exotic girl and setting. Hibiscus too? Like it lots.
Hope I haven't missed anyone and thank you again for your comments on mine.
