Mushrooming

The word is popping out of headlines
like its namesake from the ground.
Whether it’s a rising - ‘technology mushrooming’
or disastrous nuclear winter
it’s popping like penguins everywhere -
everywhere I look


Or maybe it’s just the old reference
to being in the dark and yes
being fed ****, and why should we
why would we anyway

I consider canned mushrooms
because when I buy them fresh
they always seem to turn to
the dark side before I use them

Which makes me wonder if Luke
farmed mushrooms on Tatooine
on his uncle’s farm

I check wookipedia and find --YES!
They did. Mushrooms grew near
the base of the moisture vaporators

Damn Tusken raiders anyway!
They should be vaporated!

Hi all
Having a really busy week, so thought I'd pop in while I can. My Landlord is putting in a new kitchen, including new electrics, decorating, and new flooring, which is going to take a couple of weeks, starting from next Thursday, so I've been busy sorting out cupboards, etc. I've said I want keep some of the old cupboards to put in my studio as at the moment it looks so messy. It's taking forever to sort that out as I have a lot of craft and card making stuff, but it'll look nice once it's done.

Family tree update. I'm still finding it fascinating, but the amount of information I'm finding about one set of great grandparents, way down the line, is really confusing! Some people have Gruffyd, King of Wales as Great Grandfather to her, but from what I've worked out, he can't possibly be, he's her Brother-in-law!!! I can't find him connected in any other way and I've searched through a lot, so I'm saving everything I find to file, and when I get chance, I'll work it all out. I'll probably get plenty of time to go through it all while my kitchen's being done, and hopefully some drawing, too.

There's still a royal connection though, from Lady Godiva's family line, including, I think, King Cnute, and I've found a definite connection to French nobility. Now I just need to find time to sift through all of the information. Something I'm really looking forward to, though, putting the pieces together.

But oh we love the dark side This is where the real fun starts and former faint fantasies turn to reality
Ken has his home there too you know. You just need to venture a little bit further into the dark side to find him, because he has discovered new toys to go even darker yet

Morning all Well okay, nearly dinnertime here.
Have been cleaning my house ever since getting up. Looking good here now
And guess what .... its NOT raining Its cloudy, but at least its dry
Got to get back to my drawing now. Spent a few hours on it yesterday so hoping to do the same today.
