Rotterdam,Maashaven,1965
A preliminary pendrawing to a gouache of Hanno's Yard.ms.Schiekerk is cargo-handled by cranes and her own derricks.A floating crane is about to arrive to put some train-coaches on deck.In the background grain elevators are discharging ships. And barges and lighters all around.Hope you like it.

I really like this. I can never understand how marine artists keep all that rigging, ropes and lines apart, but you have certainly done it. Nice job

Nice!
Good tones, recession, and detail. Not too sure about the composition though. The ship leads my eye out of the picture to the left. You can alter this if you are going to do a painting. As a drawing it's excellent.

Re: Rotterdam,Maashaven,1965
Thanks, all of Ye,for comments and looking. What you want me to do,Mike, turn the Schiekerk ship around? According to the Golden Rule there's activity on 2 spots :1/3 rd from the left and 1/3rd from the right. The latter might guide your eye into the drawing.
regards,Shiplover
