Re: ** Daily Wash Wednesday 25th April 2012**
Happy Hump Day Wet ones
It's sunny, calm (read NO WIND) and mild here. We do have rain in the forecast for this afternoon.
Klaira was a sweetheart last night. She's just jabbering so much and is so funny. It's funny how one can be in the worst mood but be around a baby and you can just melt.
JJ, those pics are lovely. I can see why that beach is well travelled. The family pic is GREAT; all look well and happy. Elyse and Reece are growing up so quickly.
Kaitlyn's Farewell Dance dress (that I ordered for her) came and it's a bit big...and I just don't feel good enough to do the altering. It looks like we'll have to take it to a seamstress for alterations. She's heading into high school in the Fall.
Kelsea is running track and in practice's for cheerleading tryouts which is Friday night. Kaitlyn decided not to cheer this year. I was very sad as they are both excellent cheerleaders.
I've not heard yet if my Dad made it home; I was going to call my Mom last night but didn't get the chance and then when I had a moment it was too late to call. I'll call tonight for sure.
Jen STILL hasn't heard anything from her doctor's office and we are worried now. It's been a week today since she had her ultrasound. It's ALWAYS something to worry about.
We haven't heard from the boys in a while; but that is nothing new. They always say they'll call but never do.
Ellen, I'll have a peak at your newest project in a bit.
LuLu, I'm glad you enjoyed your celebration festivities.
Annie, I'm glad your "planned" was well spent.
Waving to Doug, Geoff and Don!
Uschi, I hope you don't ache after your ping pong game
Gail, doesn't that make you really MAD when they mis-marked the package. I too bought a "mixed" assortment of tulips last fall; well we have one or two pink, a couple of purple and WAY TO MANY YELLOW tulips!
Char, your two newest paintings are WONDERFUL! It's nice to experiment and have fun with different mediums.
Well, I'd best get my rear in gear and start my data entry for the day. It's not much for today...I'll have to type real slowww....
G'DAY

Re: ** Daily Wash Wednesday 25th April 2012**
Afternoon all....
Did look in a couple of times earlier but frankly wasn't up to replying...feeling rather out of it.......maybe because of a poor second half of nights 'sleep' where I couldn't get comfortable,my hip area aches...........so I went back to bed for a while and just arose for another antique programme and a bowl of Pork Curry & Rice...so my appetite is still there!
Char...we have a few reflexology addicts in the caravanning fraternity and Claire likes one now and again...........one of our friends was diagnosed with some problems, she wasn't aware of, through the use of a Holistic Clinic rexflexologist.......so there must be something there in the 'whole body' thing............If you have not had one before you may feel as if you have been kicked soon after before the benefits set in......this is apparenty normal according to Claire...............anyway enjoy.
Gail........all my tulips are well out and look great...pity the narcissi and the mini-daffodils didn't make a show this year at all........... zero daffodil and only 1 narcissus out of perhaps 200 bulbs...
The heavy rain has now reached us.........

Re: ** Daily Wash Wednesday 25th April 2012**
Good morning...it looks a tiny bit sunny today, but with a few grayish clouds, so it may rain today. Yesterday, I never did get to paint, but I had just given my Poodle a bath, in the studio, and was coming out, when I hear a snap and a pop. I was thinking our neighbors were breaking down some boxes of some sort. I then heard another loud sound and a crash. I froze, as I knew then that it was a tree coming down in the property behind the studio! I didn't know whether to run or not. LOL Scared me to death. Anyway, it didn't hit the studio, thankfully, and it is barely touching the guys roof that is belongs to. No one was hurt, thankfully. Made for an exciting evening. hahaha Hope you all have a super great day. Love all the pictures this morning.

Good Day All,
A beautiful day ahead with sun.
I'll get some work done outside.
Char, love your paintings in the gallery.
I've spent the morning trying to set up a flickr account. Someday I'll post it.
Getting ready for my Wednesday brunch with Janet.

Re: ** Daily Wash Wednesday 25th April 2012**
Good afternoon all!
Quite cold here in the Lowveld, just +19C, because just a couple weeks ago it was in the low 30's.
Not much time for painting, because quite busy with preparations for our UK trip in just a few days. When seeing the weather forecasts for Manchester it's a bit scary, with temperatures just 11-12C high and 5-6 low... I haven't worn long pants during the last 8 months, but will have to adapt to it.
I hope to see Doug and Ruth during our stay in the Manchester area.
We will also go to London for a few days, which I really look forward to. I've been in London many, many times, and it is still my #1 city in the world!
Have a nice evening all of you!
Tommy

Good Day all Bright sun and warmer air than yesterday, will have to get out and get some natural Vit. D! I woke up thinking today was tomorrow, so have that wonderful feeling of a free day Have therefore accomplished absolutely nothing so far except washing the dishes (Uschi ).
Lovely photos of you, Sharon, with your dog!
And beautiful jewellery, Kay, and for a second I thought I could smell the roses
Nice family pic, JJ, beautiful spot, too!
Very interesting experiment, Ellen, I'll follow with interest.
I hope you all have a productive and happy day
Darla and everyone else that needs one

Tommy.........those Manchester temperatures are almost tropical for there! It will rain...it always does...
London how peoples reaction is to that city........I worked/lived there from 1964 until 1976 and visited probably twice a month thereafter until 5 years ago.....I have lots of good memories of the place but it had changed.........all apart from a newspaper seller at St.Pancras Station who 20 years after I had left still recognised me and said 'you havn't been around much lately!'..........

Re: ** Daily Wash Wednesday 25th April 2012**
Back again for a couple of minutes before lunch is ready.
Char, yes, the pain is becoming much more manageable so I have been able to reduce the amount of medication significantly. No physio started yet. I see the surgeon next week on May 2nd so I should learn of the long term recovery plan then... Still absolutely no energy Not painting yet but I do think about it often.... wish that darn brush wasn't so heavy
Darla, Jen should be calling her Dr's office. Maybe someone forgot to fax the radiologist report.
Geoff, Nacissus and Daffodils are blooming fine here but we did have some snow cover all winter long.
 Lynn, enjoy your "free" day.
Luch is ready so also to eveyone else.
Cheers,
Gail

Just a quick hello from Texas. Darla, remember, no news is good news. If there was something wrong, Jen would have had a phone call by now.
Tonight I visit Mom. I am looking forward to it. Busy at work, but still having fun.

That's what I think too Darla.
Hip/leg was way less painful today. I played brilliantly and a lot of games. Now I am tired and really needed some sugar for energy so I am munching on sweet grapes after my sandwich. If I only knew what brings on the good days and what abrings on the bad days I could try and fix it
I hope to do some weeding but first I need to rest, maybe even have a 20 minute snooze.
It's a beautiful day!! I had to chuckle about Tommy's complaint about the 19C and here we are in heaven because it is 14C
Gail, remember, you did have an operation!! Relax!!! You are not supposed to do any work right now anyway. Really glad that the pain is getting better - good sign!! Good thing the tulips werent all purple, you would barely see them, been there and done that.
We have had so many frosts that it is a miracle that the daffodils are still blooming, they have been at it now for over a month. Tulips are up too and my forsythia bush is finally starting to lose its blooms, it too has bloomed more than a month. All the perennial flowers are behaving as if they hadn't even had a whoff of cold
 Lynn!
Tommy, Doug and Ruth have met more WCers than any of us, you'll make a wonderful addition to their list.
Lisa, I'm soooo glad that the tree spared you, scary!!!!!
Geoff, that's how I felt yesterday after I overslept - out of it Glad you are back to normal now!
Char, I can't wait to hear how the reflexology went. Will respond to your paintings in that thread

EVENING WASHGANGEROOS!!!
Popping in before I go make the tea........as Doug said we had a lovely visit with Ruth and her friend yesterday - then Doug came home and we had a nice chat with him too.
I got a lovely tea towel from New Zealand with the Haika on it - so Lulu next time you come over I will do it for you......LOL.
Heard from the hospital re Mum's op - again her results came up with a water infection but the surgeon realises it is a skin problem so he is still willing to do it but she has to take a course of antibiotics beforehand - so we are good to go
Saw this in our local paper today - the guy originates from Wigan so wanted everyone to know.........I think he lives in Collingwood or something like that.......lol. I want one!!!
Well better go and get the tea started - GD Megan is staying over again tonight as well with the mad pooch Banya.
Hugs to all in need of one - safe travels to anyone errrrrrrrrr travelling......white light to those in need and just lots of love from me

Re: ** Daily Wash Wednesday 25th April 2012**
Hiya
Bit of a day yesterday, had the grandkids + 2 over after school, so 2 insane boys (12 years) and 2 girls, one 14 and our 16 year old grandaughter. The 14 year old is a budding singer and did some acting in a local little theater group in Sacramento. She asked Jack to help her create an audition for the US X factor (or whatever is being auditioning now you know, Simon Cowell) Very interesting but glad when it was over and they all went home! Doubt she will make it but at least she got to try. She really is a nice kid with ambitions.
Had a bit of a shock also, Jack and Kevin (SIL) were going around our backyard, checking out where to put the pool and planting etc, when we found out all the flexible hose that was put down underneath the "gorilla hair" bark around the lawn for the sprinkler had been chopped up in sections! could NOT figure that out, why? Jack thinks it may have been the weed abatement treatment we had paid for, but will check with our property manager. My first thought was the 2 boys who were living in our house. Jack also thinks the tennent may have decided to try and do the weed thing himself.
It's a mystery.

Evening all........
Feel much better now..after 90 minutes soak in the bath then an afternoon of doing very little other than watching antique programmes on TV and trying to finish crossword whilst rain hammered down.......
Hopefully see you all tomorrow...hope it doesn't rain in afternoon as a local funeral to go to..

Re: ** Daily Wash Wednesday 25th April 2012**
Hi Everyone
A late check in here today. Twenty seven years ago today I gave birth to a special little person --my son Justin who as I speak is on his way to Africa for the next 6 months. I would never have dreamed of that back then.
I have mixed feelings today --happy for his adventures and a career he loves but a little sad that for the next 6 months I won't be able to just pick up the phone and call him.
Also today I am having a horrible day of pain. OMG
So I'll check on everyone tomorrow.
